Try three questions

Three questions from the Croatia bank, as you'll see them in the app.

  1. On a steep road too narrow for passing, one car is driving downhill and another uphill. Who gives way?

    1. The driver going downhill
    2. The driver going uphill
    3. The driver going at the higher speed
    Show the answer

    Answer: The driver going downhill

On a steep road, a vehicle going downhill can stop and reverse more easily than one going uphill. So the driver going downhill gives way.

  2. May you stop or park a vehicle on a pedestrian crossing or immediately before it?

    1. No, because I would be hiding pedestrians.
    2. Yes, if I stay seated in the vehicle.
    3. Yes, if the carriageway is wide enough.
    Show the answer

Answer: No, because I would be hiding pedestrians.

Stopping and parking are prohibited on a pedestrian crossing and immediately before it. The vehicle hides pedestrians and endangers their crossing.

  3. Who must wear a cycle helmet?

    1. Cyclists under 16 years of age.
    2. Cyclists over 65 years of age.
    3. Only when riding outside a built-up area.
    Show the answer

Answer: Cyclists under 16 years of age.

According to Art. 114, para. 1 of the Road Traffic Safety Act, a helmet must be worn by cyclists under 16 and by people under 16 who are carried on a bicycle. For older cyclists, a helmet is not compulsory.
