The traffic lights at an intersection are not working. Which rule applies?
Show the answer
Answer: The Give Way to the Right or the T-intersection rule
When traffic lights are out, drivers fall back on the standard rules for intersections without signals. That means Give Way to the Right or the T-intersection rule, whichever suits the layout.

Traffic ahead is backed up beyond the intersection, so you cannot drive through into the road you want. What should you do?
Show the answer
Answer: Wait before the intersection, and do not enter it yet
Entering an intersection without room to exit into your intended road is an offence. Hold back until the way through is clear.

May you overtake a moving tram on its right?
Show the answer
Answer: Not unless a sign or marking permits it
Passing a tram on the right is banned unless a traffic sign or marking says it is allowed. Tram lanes are in the middle of the road and are not for general use.
