Try three questions

Three questions from the Thailand bank, as you'll see them in the app.

  1. Heavy rain or fog limits your view of the road ahead to less than 60 metres. What should you do?

    1. Drive at the legal maximum to get through quickly
    2. Match the car ahead, following as closely as possible
    3. Reduce speed to a safe level
    4. Keep the same speed but use high beam
    Show the answer

Answer: Reduce speed to a safe level

The legal limit is a ceiling for normal conditions. With fog, rain, dust or smoke cutting visibility below 60 metres you must slow so you can stop for hazards you see late (s.69).

  2. Which kind of signal may drivers of ordinary vehicles not use on the road, except vehicles entitled to do so?

    1. The low-beam headlights used at night
    2. Flashing warning lights and sirens
    3. The red brake lights at the rear when braking
    4. The amber turn indicators on the sides and rear of the car
    Show the answer

Answer: Flashing warning lights and sirens

Drivers of ordinary vehicles may not use flashing warning lights, sirens, whistles or excessively loud sounds; only entitled vehicles such as emergency vehicles may (s.13, 75).

  3. A vehicle carries a load projecting beyond its length in daytime. What must the driver do?

    1. Nothing, since it is visible in daylight
    2. Show a white light at the end of the load
    3. Fix a red flag at the end of the load, visible from at least 150 metres
    4. Fix a green flag
    Show the answer

Answer: Fix a red flag at the end of the load, visible from at least 150 metres

A projecting load must carry a red light when lights are required, or a red flag at its end by day, visible from at least 150 metres (s.15).
